This cashew milk is seriously legit and you’re going to LOVE how freakin’ easy it is to make. Cashews, water and vanilla extract.

That’s it! Three ingredients! And one of them is water, which honestly I don’t even really consider an ingredient. So two freakin’ ingredients. Two!!!

I used to put about 1/4 of a cup of almond milk in my tea to give it a creamy texture and flavor. You know, spruce that bad girl up a little.

But I came home from New York last weekend to an empty carton of almond milk and no plans of making it to the grocery for a few days…

WHAT’S A GIRL TO DO?!

Well, I had no choice but to improvise! I knew Danny had some cashews on hand that I could steal -thanks babe you da best!- and I always have some vanilla extract available.

I threw the cashews, some water and vanilla extract into my Vitamix Blender and voila! Homemade cashew milk to last me for an entire week or more!

This cashew milk was surprisingly just as creamy and tasty if not better than any nut milk I have bought at the grocery. But what I love most is how clean it is compared to those store-bought brands.

A lot of them have added ingredients like carrageenan, different ‘gums’ and ‘natural flavors’. Who knows what those ingredients ACTUALLY are and what they do to the body.

Anyways, if you don’t have a Vitamix blender you should totally invest in one! You can find the one I use here: Vitamix Blender.

I purchased mine 4 years ago and I have USED AND ABUSED that thing. Money well spent for sure. From smoothies to soup to ice cream, she does it all!

Literally took me about 4 minutes to make this cashew milk and now I have some for the next week. I knew I had to share this simple three-ingredient, homemade cashew milk with you.

I mean what kind of person would keep all the deets of such a simple, clean recipe to themselves right?! Don’t worry I got you covered!

If you want to get a little fancier with this milk you can always add 3 dates and some cinnamon to make it a little sweeter. You could even add some 100% dark chocolate baking powder to make some homemade chocolate cashew milk or some strawberries for strawberry milk!!

OR add chocolate baking powder AND strawberries for some STRAWBERRY CHOCOLATE MILK. Ooooo la laaaaaa!

Either way, I’m pretty sure I’m never going to pick up nut milk from the grocery ever again. I can’t believe I haven’t been doing this already!

  1. Add cashews, water and vanilla extract to Vitamix blender and blend on high for 3-4 minutes.
  2. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
